This question came from Kathy today: Hi, great website, but I don’t see any tips on getting that nasty hard water build up stain out of the toilet? I have tried a pumice stone with some luck, but I can’t seem to keep it away after its some what spotless….any tips would be great

Well, this is a real big problem here in Tucson! There even is some kind of mold that feeds on that calcium ring in the toilet. This little trick works wonders. Use your pumice stone and clean that bowl real well. Then drain your bowl and let the sides dry. Now, this is where things get very interesting. Now, apply some auto finish auto exterior finish, you know, the stuff called wax! The finish sheds water and eliminates the need for harsh scrubbing. re-apply every month or so. Note the sides must be dry before you apply this product.
