House cleaning tip: be organized

Let’s get real here… The organized house cleaning project saves time and creates a cleaner home.

The reality is cleaning has to be planned and not an afterthought. Any organized frequent light cleaning is far superior to periodic venture. Your house and appliances will be grateful to be cleaned regularly. It requires much less effort, chemicals, and abrasives to remove a light film of grime.

Dust, especially in a town like Tucson is important to keep under control with frequent. Built up dust is much more difficult to remove. Dust combined with oils or grease becomes a major project to clean. If you have ever seen built up mini blinds in a kitchen, then you know what I mean.

It is my opinion that it is easier to replace inexpensive mini blinds than to clean grime covered blinds. They do not take to being scrubbed well.

Your carpets will look better longer and last longer if they are vacuumed frequently. They also will need disruptive cleaning less often. And if you use A HEPA vacuum you should notice improved health as well. Your carpet can over time absorb into the fibers and backing 70 x it original weight in dust and dirt.

So now, is not too late to become organized is it?

Do you eat on your floors? Sounds like a silly question doesn’t it? So unless you have a toddler crawling around your house, there aren’t any good reasons to use disinfectants on your floors. Most floors can be cleaned very easily with hot water and nothing else. The chemical companies don’t want you to know this but it is true.

You say, “My floors are really nasty dirty.” Well, from time to time something does get dropped and is allowed to dry. In this case, you might need a little extra help. I would recommend any Eco friendly house cleaning products. It is very easy to find bio-degradable cleaning products today. Save your disinfectants for food preparation areas and the bathroom. The Earth and your wallet will thank you.
