Eco Friendly way to clean beer spills.
Tuesday, November 6th, 2007The quicker the response the better: I wrote sometime ago on my first blog about removing beer stains. It was Saint Patrick’s Day and it seemed like a the tip might to timely. So with the holidays soon approaching, here I go again.
First, remember this, the darker the beer the harder it will be to remove. Always start by testing an inconspicuous spot to see if the carpet color in color fast material. Wet carpet is the easiest to clean. You start by blotting the soaked area with paper or cloth towels. You should be as gentle as possible and do not rub the surface.
When you have removed the beer through blotting you can then begin the cleaning process. This will require a table spoon or so of generic dish soap. and a small amount of warm water. Place the detergent on the stain then wait about 15 minutes. Now you will rinse this area with warm water and repeat the blotting process. Remember never use a rubbing action.
The darker beers may require repeating these steps another time or two.
