Dusting as a regular cleaning process can protect you and your family. Dusting begins with prevention. You should check and maintain your air filters regularly. This will make sure they are functioning properly. Some air filters will last only between 1-3 month. They should be changed or replaced as they become clogged with dirt and debris. Others such as the metal types need monthly cleaning with a garden hose or in the shower

What level of participation are you willing to provide for your garage cleaning and organizing project?
- Do you want to be involved at all?
- Will you be available when your organizer arrives and throughout the process to answer questions and offer guidance?
- Are you prepared to remove all distractions from the home during the project (family, friends, or pets) And give it your complete attention.
- Are you ready to let go of your misplaced, broken, seldom used, or un-wanted family items?
- Have you consider the emotional cost of your project? You may come upon long forgotten items that have great emotional triggers.
- Are you prepared to set a time limit to removing permanently un-used items. (an example: If any items has not been used in so many years___, It goes… Most organizers recommend two years here!)
- Have you made a pact with yourself and your family to never loose control of the garage again?

This is a trusted and true method… To remove hard-water and lime build-up in a tea kettle, pour in about two cups of of any vinegar and bring to a brisk boil. Let simmer for about 8-10 minutes, then rinse it out well. This is a real big problem where I live in Tucson. This ground/Colorado River Water is very darn hard stuff! Lots of dissolved minerals.

This one is as old as the hills… I think! Start by adding one cup of old baking soda down all the drains in your home. Then follow this with a cup of mildly hot vinegar. Wait about six or seven minutes before flushing your drains with hot water.

An Eco friendly solution for pet stains: Use a solution of everyday household items . You will want to mix one part water to three parts white table vinegar. Then place this solution in small amounts on the stain. Now, you will need to cover this area to prevent rapid evaporation of the solution into the air. This provides it to time to work. Do not blot the stain. Now,allow the solution to slowly dry. When the stained area is completely dried, use 1 teaspoon liquid detergent to one cup of cold water. Now you can thoroughly cleanse the area, blotting the stained area dry. The vinegar smell will rapidly dissipate..

Prevention of dust is the best cleaning method ever. You can do this by using entrance mats at each entrance of the home. One just outside the door. This one should be the rubberized variety that allows dirt to fall below. Never use a cloth outdoor mat. These mats harbor molds. Also use a mat just inside the door. This will reduce the amount of dust, dirt, and debris that enters your home.

When you need to clean your copper bottomed pots and pans and to get them to shine again. Do dip the bottom of the pot in leftover pickle juice. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. Rinse well.

Does your garage go uncleaned or cleaned but once a year, at best? Garage cleaning is the orphan of home cleaning projects It also is a service that I provide as part of my Your Fresh Start Cleaning Service. For many of you in Tucson garage cleaning or organizing project is a once a year project(Think spring cleaning.”
Your garage cleaning and organizing project, or house organizing in any form, may seem odd, at best. I often see people that park their vehicles outside… In our blistering Tucson summer sun… And for that matter… All year round… Can you imagine such a thing? So much stuff so little room.
These neighbors of ours just have so much “stuf” in their overflowing garages… So much so, that the vehicles have nowhere to park indoors… They are sheltering thousands of dollars in belongings… When ten of thousands of dollars in vehicles sit parked in the driveway.
I have such a friend and she resides alone… She has no big family to fill her garage and her garage is way extra huge… Even bigger than her house… Yet, she has so much stuff in the garage that her vehicles, about $70,000 worth, are parked out in the daily elements of sun. wind, and yes, sometimes rain here in Tucson.
All these nice people are candidates for a garage cleaning and organizing project. So if you are one of them or know someone with an overflowing garage… Stay Please do stay posted. This blog will be offering some tips on how to handle this huge project… The advice will cover hiring a professional and how to do it yourself… Stay tuned.

Welcome to the Tucson Cleaning Tips Blog
The intent of this blog is to encompass all areas of the cleaning services industry and related cleaning Tips. This blog is seeking your input on cleaning tips, services and more. I would like to hear from home and office owners as well as service providers.
Let’s discuss what works and what doest work. Since this is my first attempt at a blog, I would like any comments on building a better Blog.
As you can see this blog is attached to my website www.yourfreshstart.us I am in the process of building a referral links page on it. So if you provide janitorial or house cleaning service here inot in Tucson or sell cleaning products then please drop me a line at geeurbie@yourfreshstart.us
I am also interested in hearing from house and business organizers services.
This was my first blog entry some 3 months ago before Blogger went down for me. So I am reposting some of the old blog material. I would like to also note that this blog has risen to #1 and #5 on Google searches for this niche during that time!
When I first started blogging I was only interested in providing fresh content for the website. Search engines love new content. Now, the blogs success has opened opportunities that I had not considered. Say what you will, but for me this internet stuff just amazes me too no end! Way back in the 80’s I had a janitorial service here in Tucson.
Getting new business back then required a lot of foot work and cold calling. I tried print and radio ads to market the business. Now, in the internet age I market from the comfort of my home using mostly free or low cost methods. I have grown this business more in four months suing the net than I had over four years back in the 80’s.
If you are interested in placing ads on the site please contact me for more details.
Thanks

Try using a laundry dryer sheet…When you are going to dust your television screen. It reduces that static electric charge around the screen. This releases and removes dust. This also acts somewhat as a preventative measure as well. Dust that has gone airborne during dusting and vacuuming are less likely to be landing on the television screen with a reduced static charge.
