Mildew Not Just In The Bathroom

Friday, December 19th, 2008

Mildew can appear anywhere water and humidity exist. So do some checking around the house and you might be surprised where you find it lurking . Under any sink, laundry hook up’s and even in your freezer especially if you have an ice maker. What do you do when you find it? There are cleaners that contain mold fighting ingredients, often chlorine bleach. Diluted as per directions bleach alone is effective as the cleaner. Just two things to remember:

#1- Bleach mixed with other cleaners can produce hazardous fumes.

#2- It is not safe on colors.

The Wonders Of A Blog

Monday, December 15th, 2008

We recently acquired complete control of our website and blog after a long running dispute. The website could not be found any where in the Google results after it was taken down about a month ago. That changed and changed very quickly. We made some updates to the home page and made a blog post a few days ago. Now, the website is in the top 10 again.

I write this to let you know that Google likes fresh content. So when you update your website it will likely move you up in the seaarch engine rankings. So I encourage you to update your website and blog on a regular basis.

The Saga Is Finally Over

Saturday, December 13th, 2008

We contracted to have this website built back in October of 2006. We let the designer acquire the domain name for us. What A huge mistake this was. He registered the domain name in his name. I was quick to catch this, but we had to wait 60 days to change it into our name. This made us very happy until we discovered that we still did not control our domain.

The whois information for our registration indicated that we owned the site but the designer still had it in his account and out of our control. This prevented us from doing anything with the domain like attempting to sell it. Well, it is finally over and we now control our domain. Yea!
